I've recently had the opportunity to get to know Lisa Greer. Lisa is a philanthropist, volunteer and author of a new book, which I have read and encourage you to as well, called Philanthropy Revolution.
When Lisa and her husband Josh became wealthy, literally overnight, they wanted to invest in their community and causes that they cared about. Lisa's experience of managing that portfolio came with some surprising and frankly shocking and abhorrent situations. We need to shine a light on her experience and work as a sector to do better.
Paul and I just recorded a podcast with Lisa and the conversation was robust. It will be published later this month. In the meantime, Lisa has agreed to join us in a conversation with us about women in philanthropy. Given the fact that Lisa lives in Los Angeles this means getting up especially early for the session on the 20th - so let's make it worth her while! Groups will be kept small - so please rsvp today.
